New York – Hundreds of Satmar yiden filled up yesterday the halls of VYoel Moshe on 590 Bedford Ave in Williamsburg N.Y. at the Atzeres Macuah and Fundraising to help re-open Cong. Bais Yoel (Rebetzin’s Shul) after the Shul was closed by the village of Kiryas Joel six months ago.

New York – Hundreds of Satmar and ultra-Orthodox Jews demonstrated Tuesday in front of the house of rabbi Aron Teitelbaum in Brooklyn in reaction to the recent clashes between Kiryas Joel Public Safety and religious Jews in Kiryas Joel over a new parking lot the government wants to build on the property of Cong. Bais Yoel in Kiryas Joel.
Religious Jews object to the Kiryas Joel government’s decision to make a parking lot on the grounds of the Shul.
The Kiryas Joel government are committing acts of brutality against religious Jews on a scale not seen in the last 30 years,” said Rabbi Josef Waldman, a prominent Rabbi of the Satmar Hasidic community.
“A guy who requested anonymity told ‘SatmarNews’ that the demonstration was held as a show of support for the Kiryas Joel community’s struggle against the opening of the parking lot on the lot that belongs for Cong. Bais Yoel, adding that KJPS used “excessive force and did some cruel things.”
